Understanding Pedagogy & Learning Theories (CST 413 )

LEARNING  & LEARNING THEORIES

Each individual learner is physically, mentally and socially   different from the other learners. In addition to it   their learning styles   also differ. The way each individual perceives is   also different .So in order   for effective learning   to take place   students need to interact with the environment in a positive way   to make their learning more meaningful. Students   need to be given more opportunities   to involve in their own learning with their individual differences; to the extent their capability gives room. The evolvement of learning theories   like cognitivism, behaviorism   and   constructivism have enforced the teachers   to   think more seriously and   deeply about individual students learning. Although all these theories cannot be   enforced   in the classroom, they form the basis to make learning   more enjoyable and beneficial .And as teachers, we hold the wand in our hands to bring a change.

    1. I agree with you, but according to our education curriculum, its quite difficult us to develop those kind of environment to involve student to their own learning. Considering time and resource available (Human Resource) in island are very less compare to male'. Even though our responsibility is try to make those kind of environment for the students.
